Freestyle kayaking, in particular, thrives in Uganda, as the conditions here naturally align with the sport’s needs. The waves offer ideal challenges for kayakers, and even with minimal coaching, rapid progress can be made. The opportunities for improvement are abundant, as the river presents various types of waves and features that help paddlers hone their techniques.

The training sessions have been thoughtfully designed to guide participants through drills that enhance key kayaking moves and focus on the fundamentals. At the end of each session, participants receive detailed, actionable feedback. This feedback highlights specific areas to work on, providing clarity on how to improve and what steps to take next. The goal is for each kayaker to leave with a clear understanding of their strengths and the exact steps to continue progressing toward their personal goals.
